LMYC is a family-oriented private sailing boat club limited to 75 full members located on the Detroit River in the town of LaSalle just minutes from downtown Windsor. Our harbour is naturally sheltered and LMYC offers members and guests safe and secure moorings surrounded by picturesque river islands as well as a social and racing agenda.

One of the main purposes of LMYC is to promote the sport of sailing in all forms. Our members are active and engaged in racing and cruising on all the Great Lakes. LaSalle Mariners Yacht Club, sponsors, Monday and Wednesday Night races and club regattas throughout the sailing season. No matter what level of experience you have you will find races and cruises that will interest you.

Our club holds many social events and fun activities throughout the year and the clubhouse is the center of most of the Club’s activities.. Events from the Annual General Meeting and the multitude of committee meetings, to social events such as the Club's Monday and Wednesday Night Racing, Darts, Barbeques, multitude of parties and Sailing Regattas, all emanate from this facility.

LMYC is a member of the Inter-Lake Yachting Association. As a member of this organization it allows guests that are members of other yacht clubs to access to our facilities. In turn our members receive reciprocal privileges at other ILYA yacht clubs

One of the founding goals of LMYC was to foster a spirit of good fellowship among sailors. To bring people together who have similar interests and the love of sailing. For over 30 years our members have practiced this credo and as a result LMYC is known as the friendliest club on the river.

Any boats participating in a LMYC regatta can now launch their boat at our club. Arrangements must be made in advance .Please contact the Harbormaster for more information. Boats will only be launched at the club the day before Shakedown, our Regatta in August and our River Rat race in October for other clubs and hauled out the day after these races. Skippers must make arrangements with our Harbour Master, Judge Mangile, at least three days in advance of these races. It is a matter of safety for lift crews to launch and haul out boats on the day of an event. Please review this link to read more.
